The EPSD and the Municipality of Rhodes no longer leave any room for unions that will not be consistent with their obligation to employ qualified coaches.
From the new season, the presence of a licensed coach will not only be mandatory in official games, but also in daily training sessions, under penalty of a ban on the use of the stadium facilities.
As was underlined during the gathering of the players of the 1st and 2nd category clubs last Monday in the offices of the organizer, the reason why the new framework touches on training is simple.
All qualified coaches have been trained in the provision of first aid (this is a basic condition for their diploma to be awarded), so their presence in training and as long as a doctor is not present, is a safety valve against any emergency.
On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the FMPC and Chairman of the Championship and Cup Committee, Chrysostom Psellas, called on the clubs’ players to ensure that the proper functioning of the defibrillators they have in their stadiums is checked, as well as that the medical equipment is adequate.
In addition, he recalled that the issuing of cards from the 10th year of age of a footballer is mandatory, without requiring the presentation of a Health Card.
For the issuance of a card it is now necessary to authenticate the signature and for the issuance of a card of a minor, the signature of his guardian.
