In a statement revoking his resignation, Stathis Mathioudakis said:
Sadly, I got to know Volleyball at a very old age. What won me and made me love it was the concord and kindness of the sport and the quality of the people who were involved in it.
Reading the letters signed by the majority of the clubs and my direct collaborators in the Local Committee I found with great joy that nothing has changed and all that I have loved in volleyball and the people who deal with it continue to exist.
That is why I am revoking my resignation and will continue to fight for the good of the sport as president.
I want to thank the representatives of the clubs for their support and to promise them that I will remain by the side of the sport as long as conditions allow me to do so.
